Michael Paul Chan
Michael Paul Chan (born June 26, 1950 in San Francisco , California ) is an American actor .
Career
Chan began his acting and voice acting career in the 1970s. He was a fellow of the American Conservatory Theater and worked with the Asian American Theater Company . He is also involved in the field of Asian-American culture. He starred in the film Americanese , which deals with the problems of multiracial couples. Chan has appeared in movies, television series, and plays.
From 2005 to 2012 he played the detective lieutenant and computer expert Michael Tao in the television series The Closer . Chan embodies the same role in the follow-up series Major Crimes .
