Michael Preisinger (born March 26, 1962 in Rheinbach ) is a German journalist , writer and screenwriter who also publishes under the pseudonym Mig Phoenix . In his non-fiction books he mainly deals with paranormal phenomena, as a journalist he works in the areas of travel and the environment, in his fictional short stories and TV spots he describes absurd events in the form of serious documentaries and reports.

Life

Preisinger grew up as the son of a glass technician in Düren in the Rhineland . After graduating from high school in 1981 at the Wirteltor high school , he began studying sport science at the German Sport University in Cologne , which he completed in 1986 with the degree of qualified sport teacher.

From 1989 he worked as a track and field trainer a. a. for the SG Düren 99 and the North Rhine Athletics Association and studied history at the University of Cologne and in 1990 he published his first non-fiction book Jump competitions in athletics - The development of the Middle Ages until 1896 , before he became a research assistant at the Institute for Sports History at the German Sport University Cologne in 1991 .
