Michael Rösele (born October 7, 1974 in Augsburg ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
In 1992, Rösele and FC Augsburg , together with Harald Gfreiter and the current coach of 1. FSV Mainz 05 Thomas Tuchel , won the DFB Junior Club Cup against Eintracht Braunschweig on penalties, converting a penalty. Then Rösele moved to the first team and played in the Bayern League, the then 3rd division. He was also used for FC Augsburg in a DFB Cup match .
Rösele then began his professional career at 1. FC Köln in the Bundesliga . He was used twice in his first year as a professional. He made his debut on June 10, 1995, the 33rd match day, in a 3: 3 against Bayer 04 Leverkusen , when he came on for Horst Heldt in the 58th minute . Rösele scored his first goal for the club in the first round of the DFB Cup, in the 3-1 defeat against SSV Ulm 1846 on August 15, 1997.
He was on August 23, 1997, the 4th match day against Borussia Mönchengladbach for the first time in the starting line-up, but was replaced at halftime by Pablo Thiam . The first game over the full 90 minutes completed Rösele on October 14, 1997 against FC Schalke 04 , which was lost 2-0. Rösele shot his first Bundesliga goal on October 4, 1997 in a 2-1 win against Hansa Rostock . Michael Rösele scored his last Bundesliga goal in a 4-2 win on October 26, 1997 against VfB Stuttgart . He came on as a substitute for Ion Vlădoiu in the 66th minute of the game and scored a minute later to make it 4-1. In the 1997/98 season , 1. FC Köln was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga . Rösele played a total of 30 Bundesliga games and hit the goal twice. In the two following seasons Rösele completed 36 second division games and scored 4 goals, but was also unable to establish himself as a regular player in the 2nd Bundesliga. He was also used in a total of three DFB Cup games for the billy goats.
Michael Rösele then moved to LR Ahlen for the 2000/01 season and played his first game on matchday 8, October 14, 2000, against Arminia Bielefeld . He played his last game for the club on April 28, 2002 against Eintracht Frankfurt . For LR Ahlen he played 28 times in the 2nd Bundesliga and once in the DFB Cup, without scoring a goal.
After two years of contract term, Rösele changed free transfer in the Oberliga Nordrhein to Regionalliga relegated Fortuna Dusseldorf for two years. In the first season a single-digit place in the table was achieved. In the following year, Fortuna rose as second in the table in the Regionalliga, as SSVg Velbert as the first in the table did not apply for a license for the Regionalliga Nord. Michael Rösele then ended his career as a professional footballer.
