Michael Rubenfeld

Michael Rubenfeld (* 1979 in Winnipeg ) is a Canadian actor, director, producer and writer.

biography

Rubenfeld was born in Winnipeg and lived there until he graduated from high school. He decided to move to Toronto . He trained as an actor at the National Theater School of Canada, from which he graduated after three years in 2001. According to Rubenfeld, he had wanted to be an actor since he was 16 years old. He was so fascinated by acting that he opted for such an education.

In 2002 Rubenfeld received assignments as an actor, his first for the movie Summer . In the following year he appeared in numerous television series, such as Odyssey 5 or Missing . A supporting role for the film Lucky Number Slevin , which did not appear in theaters in Germany despite well-known cast like Bruce Willis or Morgan Freeman .

He founded the Asbith Omen Theater with Hannah Moscovitch. For the SummerWorks Theater Festival , Rubenfeld was appointed artistic production manager in 2008. In 2008 he was nominated for the Dora Prize for his work on the play My Fellow Creatures . Rubenfeld performed the play Spain in New York in 2009 and directed the play An Exercise in Futility , which is part of the Rhubarb! Festival was performed.

In an interview from 2009 Rubenfeld announced that he would like to choose Quentin Tarantino or Sarah Stanley to act as directors for one of his plays. When asked about the location, he gave the United Kingdom and Germany as the location of his choice in addition to the United States.
