Michael Scheickl (born March 23, 1957 in Vienna ) is an Austrian composer, producer and chanson singer.

Life

With his Lied Sonntag , the former Vienna Boys' Choir represented Austria and ORF at the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 together with Elisabeth Engstler as the Duo Mess Austria . Engstler was his first wife from 1985 to 1992. As a singer and percussionist, he began his musical career in 1976 with the Austropop band "One Family", for which he also wrote the title "Yellow Kangaroo" (1977) as the composer.

He started his first solo project under the pseudonym "Fritz" and came to No. 3 in the Austrian charts with his first production "Hungaria" (1980).

In 1984 the collaboration with the Austrian band "Joy" began . Together with Fred Jaklitsch , Andy Schweitzer and Manfred Temmel, the international greatest success was "Touch by touch" (1985). Since the original singer, Fred Jaklitsch, hardly has any time left with his project "Die Seer" , Scheickl has represented him as lead singer since 2012 at the Joy performances.

In 1992 he and the singer " Jazz Gitti ", with whom he had worked as a composer and producer since 1988, received the World Music Award in Monaco for the best-selling sound carrier in Austria.

Together with his second wife Karin Sahrea (text), he started the "Mosaro Music Project" in 1998, from which the YouTube title " Körperzellen Rock " (2008) emerged. In this marriage his first two children were born.

After separating from Karin Sahrea in 2009, he met his third wife, Michaela Weiss, in Switzerland, with whom he has two other children.
