Michael Scheuermann

Michael Scheuermann (* 1964 ) is an Austrian crime writer from Wels .

Professional background

Before starting his writing career, he worked as a journalist for twenty years, initially as a permanent daily newspaper editor - first at AZ / Tagblatt , after the newspaper was discontinued in 1991 at the Neue Volksblatt .

For many years he worked as a police reporter, before that for two years as a motor journalist. He worked in the field of local and culture for magazines and other daily newspapers such as profil , the Upper Austria. News , the Welser Rundschau etc. For five years he worked as a business editor. From 2002 to 2004 he was press spokesman for two Upper Austrian economic councilors ( Viktor Sigl , Josef Fill ) and also a freelancer for various print media.

Major surgery brought him closer to his childhood dream and he eventually published his first novel, Planet Killer . The former journalist has now published three detective novels about the Wels criminalist Hans Sachs , and the fourth thriller will follow in 2009.

Private

Michael Scheuermann is married and has one son. He lives with his family in the Wels district of Lichtenegg.
