Michael Schmotz (born December 29, 1954 ) is a former German soccer player.

Career

In the summer of 1977 he moved from OSV Hannover to SV Arminia Hannover , where he also played in the 2nd Bundesliga North . He was also in the starting line-up of the historic 11-0 defeat against Arminia Bielefeld . In the summer of 1981 he left Hanover again in an unknown direction. It is still known that he was in the squad of Friesen Hänigsen in the DFB-Pokal season 1984/85 . There he played in the first round in the win against VfL Osnabrück for the full 90 minutes. In the second round against FC Bayern Munich he was substituted at 0: 3 in the 51st minute against Michael Schnell ; the game ended 0-8.
