Michael Svoboda (born October 15, 1998 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Svoboda began his career at KSV Ankerbrot Montelaa . In 2005 he joined the youth team at SK Rapid Vienna . In 2006 he moved to SV Schwechat . In May 2016 he made his debut for the first team of Schwechat in the regional league , when he was in the starting line-up against SC Neusiedl am See on matchday 28 of the 2015/16 season .

For the 2016/17 season he switched to league rivals FC Stadlau . In his two years with Stadlau, he played 42 regional league games and scored three goals.

For the 2018/19 season he moved to the second division WSG Wattens . He made his debut in the 2nd division in July 2018 when he came on as a substitute for David Gugganig in the 64th minute on the first day of that season against SV Lafnitz . With WSG Wattens he rose as a second division champion in the Bundesliga , whereupon the club was renamed WSG Tirol. After 57 appearances for the Tyroleans, he left the club after the 2019/20 season.

He then moved to Italy for the second division club FC Venice for the 2020/21 season , where he received a contract that ran until June 2023.
