Michael Wollitz (born March 28, 1961 ) is a former German soccer player .
The defender had his first professional appearances in the 1985/86 season with Arminia Bielefeld in the 2nd Bundesliga . Because of his good performance, 1. FC Köln brought him to the Bundesliga in 1986 . Although he came there on 21 missions, he could not prevail. He moved to FC Schalke 04 in 1987 , with whom he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga in 1988. He played for Schalke for two more years before ending his professional career. At least in the 1996/97 season he played in the Oberliga Westfalen for SpVg Brakel .
He also played in the DFB Cup for Arminia Bielefeld, three trophy appearances for 1. FC Köln and four appearances in this competition for FC Schalke 04.
Wollitz then trained various clubs in the Höxter district. From September 9, 2007 to November 9, 2007 he coached SpVgg Bad Pyrmont . Since his relationship with the team was not satisfactory, he was replaced by Andreas Loges . He then trained the A-youth of SpVg Brakel for three years. At the beginning of 2010, Wollitz took over the coaching position at SV Brenkhausen / Bosseborn in the district league A of the Höxter district. On May 24, 2011 Wollitz was released as a coach at SV Brenkhausen / Bosseborn. In this case, too, it was due to a disturbed relationship with the team. In September 2016 he took over the coaching position at SC Inter Holzhausen in the Hameln-Pyrmont district.
Michael Wollitz is the brother of Claus-Dieter Wollitz , also a former professional footballer and now a coach.
