Summit County is a county in the state of Utah in the United States . The county seat is Coalville . The largest place in the county is Park City .

Summit County covers an area of ​​4,874 square kilometers (1,882 mi²), of which 28 square kilometers are water. It is bordered by the counties: Uinta County, Wyoming, Sweetwater County, Wyoming, Daggett County , Duchesne County , Wasatch County , Salt Lake County , Morgan County, and Rich County .

Summit County was founded in 1854. It was named because 39 of Utah's highest mountains are located here.

As of the 2000 census , there were 29,736 people in Summit County. There were 10,332 households and 7501 families. The population density was 6 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 91.80% white, 0.24% African American, 0.31% Native American, 0.96% Asian, 0.04% Pacific islander, and 5.43% other races Groups; 1.21% were from two or more races.
