Daggett County is a county in the state of Utah in the United States . In 2010, Daggett County had 1,059 residents. The county seat is Manila .

According to the US Census Bureau, Daggett County covers an area of 1,873 square kilometers, 64 square kilometers of which is water. In the northern part is the Flaming Gorge Reservoir . The county borders the counties in a clockwise direction: Uinta County, Wyoming, Moffat County, Colorado, Uintah County , Duchesne County, and Summit County . Over 90% of the land in the county is federally owned.
history
Daggett County was founded in 1918. It is named after Ellworth Daggett, the first land surveyor.
For many years the county had only a few hundred inhabitants. With the construction of the Flaming Gorge Dam at the end of the 1950s, the population multiplied suddenly, but quickly fell again after its completion in 1964. It wasn't until the 2010 census that Daggett County returned to over 1,000 residents.

Daggett County had a population of 921 people as of the 2000 census . There were 340 households and 240 families. The population density was 1 person per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 94.57% White, 0.65% African American, 0.76% Native American, 0.11% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, and 2.39% other races Groups; 1.52% were from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race was 5.10% of the population.
Of the 340 households, 27.10% had children and adolescents under the age of 18 living with them. 62.90% were married couples living together, 4.40% were single mothers. 29.40% were not families. 25.90% were single households and 7.40% had someone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.48 and the average family size was 3.02.
For the entire county, the population was composed of 23.20% residents under 18 years of age, 8.90% between 18 and 24 years of age, 27.40% between 25 and 44 years of age, 27.00% between 45 and 64 years of age 13.50% were 65 years of age or over. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 125.20 males and for every 100 females aged 18 and over there were 132.60 males.
The median income for a household in the 30,833 USD , and the median income for a family was 41,484 USD. Males had a median income of $ 35,938 versus $ 21,583 for females. The per capita income was $ 15,511. 5.50% of the population and 4.40% of families are below the poverty line. 5.60% of these were under 18 years of age and 1.60% were 65 years of age or older.
