Juab County is a county in the state of Utah in the United States . In 2010 the county had 10,246 residents. The administrative headquarters ( the county seat ) is Nephi .

The county has a total area of 8,822 square kilometers. 38 square kilometers of this is water. It is bordered clockwise by the counties: Tooele County , Utah County , Millard County , Sanpete County, and White Pine Counties , Nevada.
history
Juab County was founded in 1852. It got its name from an Indian word for valley Juab .

According to the 2000 census , Juab County had 8,238 people. There were 2,456 households and 1981 families. The population density was 1 person per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 96.56% White, 0.15% African American, 1.02% Native American, 0.34% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, and 0.86% other races Groups; 1.02% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race was 2.63% of the population.
Of the 2,456 households, 49.30% had children and young people under the age of 18 living with them. 69.10% were married couples living together, 7.90% were single mothers. 19.30% were not families. 17.50% were single households and 9.10% had someone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.31 and the average family size was 3.79 people.
For the entire county, the population was composed of 38.60% residents under 18 years of age, 9.40% between 18 and 24 years of age, 25.20% between 25 and 44 years of age, 16.90% between 45 and 64 years of age 9.80% were 65 years of age or over. The median age was 26 years. For every 100 females there were 100.30 males, and for every 100 females aged 18 and over there were 96.50 males.
The median income for a household in the county is $ 38,139 , and the median income for a family is $ 42,655. Males had a median income of $ 33,621 versus $ 21,394 for females. The per capita income was $ 12,790. 10.40% of the population and 7.90% of families are below the poverty line. 10.70% of them were under 18 years of age and 14.50% were 65 years of age or older.
