Michaela Conlin (born June 9, 1978 in Allentown , Pennsylvania ) is an American actress of Chinese - Irish descent.

life and career

Michaela Conlin was born and raised in Allentown, Pennsylvania to a Chinese mother and an Irish father. She played her first role at the age of six. Conlin graduated from Parkland High School in her hometown of Allentown before moving to New York City to attend drama school. She was accepted into New York University Tisch School of the Arts . While working on her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), she appeared in several productions for the Atlantic Theater Company and Playwrights Horizons Theater School . After graduating from New York University, she was selected to host the documentary series The It Factor .

In 2001 Conlin played her first supporting role in an episode of the television series Law & Order . Other supporting roles in films and television series such as Love the Hard Way and JAG - On behalf of the honor followed. From 2005 to 2017 she played the role of Angela Montenegro in Bones .

Conlin currently lives in New York.
