Michaela Marzola (born February 21, 1966 in Selva ) is a former Italian ski racer from South Tyrol . She won a Super-G in the World Cup , achieved two top 10 placements at the 1988 Winter Olympics and was Italian champion eight times .

biography

From the mid-1980s onwards, Marzola was one of the best Italians in Super-G and Downhill . From 1985 to 1991 she won a total of eight Italian championship titles . The high point of her career in the World Cup was the victory in the Super-G of Megève on January 25, 1986 in front of the Austrian Elisabeth Kirchler . Furthermore, she booked a fifth place in the downhill from Puy-Saint-Vincent on January 16, 1986 and a fifth place in the Super-G of Pfronten on January 17, 1987 and came another five times in the top ten. In the 1985/86 season she was third in the Super-G rating.

At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , she achieved seventh place in the Super-G and tenth place in the combination . From 1985 to 1991 she took part in four world championships, the best result was the 16th place in the 1991 combination .
