Michel-François de Couët du Vivier de Lorry (born January 9, 1727 in Metz , † March 14, 1803 in Paris ) was a French Roman Catholic clergyman and bishop of La Rochelle .

Life

It was on December 25, 1763 Bishop of Vence chosen and on April 9, 1764 präkonisiert . He was ordained bishop on May 1, 1764, by the Archbishop of Rouen , Dominique de La Rochefoucauld ; Co - consecrators were Gabriel-François Moreau , Bishop of Mâcon , and Louis-Albert de Lezay-Marnézia , Bishop of Évreux . On June 18, 1769 he was transferred to the episcopal see of Tarbes and on August 4, 1782 he became Bishop of Angers . On September 19, 1801, he renounced the office of bishop of Angers. On April 12, 1802, he was called to the bishopric of La Rochelle, but because of his advanced age and poor health, he resigned on November 20 of the same year without ever having entered the diocese of La Rochelle.

He died a few months later in Paris.
