Michel Déon
Michel Déon (born August 4, 1919 in Paris , † December 28, 2016 in Galway , Ireland ) was a French writer.
Michel Déon was born in Paris in 1919 and studied law there. He was then a war correspondent in southern France . From 1942 to 1944 he was the editorial secretary of the authoritarian-nationalist magazine L ' Action française and assistant to Charles Maurras . After living in Greece for a long time, Ireland later became his adopted home. In 1970 he received the Prix Interallié for the novel "Les poneys sauvages" , in 1973 the Grand Prix du Roman de l'Académie française for his work "Un taxi mauve" . In 1978 he became a member of the Académie française .
