Michel Duc Goninaz (also: Michel Duc-Goninaz ; born September 6, 1933 in Paris ; † March 26, 2016 ) was a French Esperantist .

Life

Michel Duc Goninaz was editor-in-chief of the 2002 edition of the largest monolingual Esperanto dictionary, Plena Ilustrita Vortaro de Esperanto (PIV), and wrote an Esperanto-French dictionary. In 1964 he took part in the first Esperanto feature film Angoroj .

Duc Goninaz was a lecturer in Russian and Esperanto at the University of Aix-en-Provence . He wrote the play "La Ŝtona Gasto" (= The Stone Guest) and translated works by Albert Camus and Arthur Schnitzler . He was also a lecturer at the “Akademio Internacia de la Sciencoj” (AIS) and employee of the MONTO magazine .
