Michel Glatigny
Michel Glatigny (born November 21, 1922 , † June 11, 2014 in Roubaix ) was a French Romance scholar , linguist and dictionary researcher.
life and work
Michel Glatigny studied at the Sorbonne from 1939 to 1943 . In 1946 he passed the Agrégation in the subject Grammaire and taught at high schools in Thionville , Douai and Lille (Lycée Pasteur) until 1965 . Then he was an assistant at the University of Lille . He completed his habilitation in 1975 at the Sorbonne with the thesis ("doctorat d'Etat") Le vocabulaire galant dans les "Amours" de Ronsard. Essai de lexicologie littéraire (Lille 1976) and was Professor of French at the University of Lille III until his retirement .
