Michel Guyard

Michel Jean Guyard (born June 19, 1936 in Paris ) is Bishop Emeritus of Le Havre .

Life

Michel Guyard was ordained a priest on June 25, 1965 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Paris . In 1994 he was appointed Vicar General in the Archdiocese of Paris.

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Le Havre on July 9, 2003. The Archbishop of Paris, Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger , donated him episcopal ordination on October 12th of the same year in the sports center of Le Havre ; Co- consecrators were Joseph Duval , Archbishop of Rouen , and Michel Saudreau , Bishop Emeritus of Le Havre. The solemn inauguration ( enthronement ) took place on October 17th of the same year in the Cathedral of Le Havre.

On June 24, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
