Michel Levesque

Michel Levesque (born August 22, 1943 in Pennsville , New Jersey , † April 15, 2010 in Los Angeles ) was an American film director and production designer .

Life

Levesque came to Los Angeles in 1962, where soon after visiting Cal State Northridge he found work on Roger Corman's staff as an outfitter and production assistant. In 1971 he wrote the film Werewolfves on wheels with David M. Kaufman , which he also directed; the following year he released Sweet Sugar . He then worked in Europe and took on orders from the Dutch Culture Commission. In 1975 he was back in the USA and took over several exploitation films from Russ Meyer as set designer and production manager ; later also more famous productions like Borderline . In the mid-1980s Levesque also worked for television ( Hunter , Renegade - Merciless Hunt ).

In 1989 he turned his back on the feature film industry and produced digital video short films with his old companion Kaufman and turned to music.
