Michel Macquet
Michel Macquet (born April 3, 1932 in Amiens , † October 27, 2002 in Le Crotoy ) was a French javelin thrower .
In 1955 he won the Mediterranean Games .
A seventh place at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne was followed by a fourth place at the 1958 European Athletics Championships in Stockholm.
At the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome, at the 1962 European Championship in Belgrade and at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, he was eliminated from the qualification.
He was French champion ten times (1953, 1955–1961, 1964, 1965). On May 11, 1961, he set a national record in Mantes-la-Jolie with 83.36 m, which lasted 18 years.
