Michel Louis Marie Joseph Mondésert (born December 5, 1916 in Villefranche-sur-Saône , France , † April 16, 2009 ) was auxiliary bishop in Grenoble .

Life

Michel Mondésert was ordained priest on July 11, 1943 in Sacré-Cœur de Bourg-en-Bresse and taught at the Belley seminary from 1943 to 1956. From 1956 to 1960 he worked in the diocesan administration and was army chaplain of the MFR in the diocese. From 1960 to 1966 he was national army chaplain and also worked in the French Bishops' Conference for the Chrétiens dans le Monde Rural CMR ("Christians in Rural Areas") in Paris. From 1966 to 1971 Michel Mondésert was Vicar General of the Diocese of Belley.

In 1971 he was appointed by Pope Paul VI. appointed titular bishop of Apollonis and appointed auxiliary bishop in the diocese of Grenoble . The episcopal ordination donated to him on September 25, 1971 Archbishop Alexandre-Charles Cardinal Renard , Archbishop of Lyon. In 1992, his resignation was granted by Pope John Paul II . Since his retirement he lived in the rectory in Morestel .
