Michela Marzano
Maria Michela Marzano (born August 20, 1970 in Rome , Italy ) is an Italian philosopher , university professor , author and politician . From 2013 to 2018 she was a member of the Chamber of Deputies for the Partito Democratico .
Life
Marzano made in Rome on school Pius IX High School and then studied in Pisa at the University of Pisa to later at the Main Scuola Superiore to philosophy in Pisa in professional doctorate . At the same time she was taking courses in analytical philosophy and bioethics at La Sapienza University in Rome . In 1999 she went to France and has taught at the Center national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) since 2000 . Since 2010 she has been a lecturer at the University of Paris V ( René Descartes ).
Marzano's research interests and the focus of her publications include the human body and its ethical status, sexual ethics and medical ethics.
Marzano ran for the Camera dei deputati of the Italian Parliament in the 2013 general election. As a representative of the Partito Democratico (PD) she won a seat in constituency III (Lombardy 1). She was a member of the Justice Committee and, in 2014-15, the joint committee of both chambers for childhood and youth. She left the PD parliamentary group in May 2016 because they voted for the introduction of registered partnerships for homosexuals without the right to stepchild adoption. Then she sat in the "mixed group" of non-attached MPs.
For her book L'amore è tutto. È tutto ciò che so dell'amore was awarded the Premio Bancarella in Marzano in 2014 .
