Ovidie (2014)

Ovidie (* 25. August 1980 as Eloïse Becht in Lille , France ) is a French actress (between 1999 and 2002, particularly in porn films ), director , writer and film producer .

As a former philosophy student , Ovidie has been committed to anarchic anti-fascism for a number of years , especially through her membership in SCALP , to which she no longer belongs according to interviews with the Nouvelle Droite . In the meantime, she claims to be apolitical.

Ovidie is the author of the book Porno Manifesto , published by Flammarion and La Musardine, which challenges the existing notions of the porn industry that she calls "Intello du X". She defines herself as a sex positive feminist . During her career as an active actress, she has opposed some sexual practices and insisted on the use of condoms when filming. She has also issued a number of statements against homophobia . She finished her work as a porn actress when she switched to the camera. She then appeared in a number of “normal” films: Le Pornographe by Bertrand Bonello (with real sex scenes) with Jean-Pierre Léaud, awarded the 2001 Critics' Prize in Cannes, Mortel Transfer by Jean-Jacques Seeleix , All About Anna produced by Lars von Trier and La nuit transfigurée by fantasy director Jean Rollin . Ovidie made her first own non-pornographic documentary in 2006. In April 2006 she directed the new porn film Les Concubines for V.Communications , co-authored by Véronique Lefay.

The English Time Magazine as well as the French film magazines Synopis and Le Film français have reported on Ovidie . She has received seven awards for her work as an actress and director, including the 2001 Hot d'Or Award and Orgie de Nuit the Hot d'Or for Best Screenplay.
