Michelau ( Luxembourgish : Méchela ) is a village in the municipality of Burscheid , Canton Diekirch , in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg .

Michelau is located in the Sauer Valley and has a stop on the Luxembourg – Spa railway line . The national road 27 runs through the village. Neighboring towns are Lipperscheid in the north and Brandenburg in the east

General

With 397 inhabitants, Michelau is the second largest district in the municipality of Burscheid. The parish church of St. Wendelin with its rococo furnishings and the Donatus monument are well worth seeing .
