Scheidel ( Luxembourgish : Scheedel ) is a village in the municipality of Burscheid , Canton Diekirch , in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg .

Scheidel is surrounded by forests and connected to the road network via the CR 349. Neighboring towns are Kehmen in the north and Welscheid in the south .
General
Scheidel is one of the smallest villages in the municipality. The painter Théophile Steffen has his studio in the village. The only attraction in the village is the Mater Dolorosa chapel, which was built in 1862 and belongs to the Burscheid parish.
