Mickey Lewi
Mickey Lewi ( Hebrew מיקי לוי, * May 21, 1951 in Jerusalem , Israel ) is an Israeli politician with Kurdish roots and has been Deputy Minister of Finance since March 18, 2013 .
Life
Lewi was part of the Jerusalem branch of the Israel Police from 2000 to 2003. After his retirement he worked as an Israeli police - Attaché in Washington, DC
As a party member of Yesch Atid , he was number 11 on the electoral list in the 2013 elections. After the party won 19 seats, he entered the Knesset and was then appointed Israel's Vice Minister of Finance. His parents are Kurdish Jews from Cizre .
