The Middle Fell is a mountain in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The Middle Fell is located in Wasdale on the northwest bank of the Wast Water , to which it drops steeply. To the east, the Middle Fell slopes down to a gully where the Nether Beck separates it from the ridge formed by Yewbarrow and Red Pike . On the steep west flank of the mountain lies the Greendale Tarn .
