Mieke Senftleben (born October 25, 1952 in Delmenhorst ) is a German politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school, Mieke Senftleben completed a teaching degree at the University of Education in Bonn , which she completed in 1974 with the first state examination for teaching at primary and secondary schools . She completed the subsequent legal clerkship in 1976 with the second state examination. She then worked as a teacher until 1981 . From 1983 to 1986 she lived with her family in Paris . She then worked as a freelance gallery owner in Alfter from 1986 to 1992 . In 1992 she moved to Berlin with her family . Here she worked from 2000 to 2001 as an independent PR manager. She then worked from June to October 2001 as a research assistant for Cornelia Pieper, member of the Bundestag .

Mieke Senftleben is married and has raised five children with her husband Axel.

Political party

She has been a member of the FDP since 1986. From 1994 to 2000 she was a member of the FDP state executive in Berlin and from 1997 to 2000 she was deputy FDP state chairman. Mieke Senftleben was the state chairwoman of the Liberal Women Berlin from 2004 to 2008. From 2008 to 2010 she was chairwoman of the Federal Association of Liberal Women. In May 2011 she was elected as a member of the federal executive committee of the FDP. Since March 2012 Mieke Senftleben has been deputy state chairwoman of the FDP Berlin.

At the state representative assembly of the Berlin FDP on March 28, 2009 Senftleben ran for the promising third place on the Bundestag list , but was defeated by MP Hellmut Königshaus with 130 to 214 votes.

MPs

From 2001 to 2011 Mieke Senftleben was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives . Here she was the spokesperson for the FDP parliamentary group for education, sport and religious communities. Since March 2010 she was also the spokesperson for social affairs. She was an assessor in the Presidium of the House of Representatives. In the election for the Berlin House of Representatives in 2011 , the FDP no longer moved into the House of Representatives and its mandate ended.

Volunteering

Since March 24, 2014 Mieke Senftleben has been deputy chairwoman of the Berlin regional association of the Volksbund Deutsche Kriegsgräberfürsorge e. V.
