Tenement house Pestalozzistraße 23: hip gable decoration

description

The enclosure together under monument protection standing tenement , as a rental villa called, is a three-story apartment house with a tile-roofed hipped roof . It stands on the north side of Pestalozzistraße, on the other side of which the tracks of the Lößnitzgrundbahn run along.

The symmetrical street view is four-axis. The two outer axes are designed as windows on the ground floor, as a round-arched loggia on the first floor and as a rectangular loggia under the roof. The two central axes are arched windows on the ground floor, framed by rose trellises, but rectangular twin windows on the two upper floors . The two uppermost twin windows form the lower end of a flat arched half-timbered hipped gable. This is decorated with rosette motifs as wood carvings. There is also the dating Anno Domini 1902 . The gable is emphasized on both sides by ornamental essays.

The plastered building is divided between the first and second floors by a cornice .
