Facade on Strelitzer Strasse

The apartment building Strelitzer Straße 61 is a residential building in the Berlin district of Mitte . It is located in the Rosenthaler Vorstadt east of the cemetery of the Elisabeth parish . The building was erected in 1889 and replaced a small house in the same place. A year earlier, a commercially used clinker-clad factory building with side buildings was built in the courtyard , which is typical of the densification of the buildings that began in the 1880s. The stucco façade of the front building, which characterizes the street scene, is the only one that has survived in the vicinity.

The building on Strelitzer Strasse and the commercial building in the backyard are registered as architectural monuments with the number 09011293 in the list of monuments of the Berlin State Monuments Office .
