Rental villa August Ehregott Neumann

The rental villa August Ehregott Neumann is located at Schildenstraße 6 in the Alt-Radebeul district of the Saxon city of Radebeul . The house was built in 1900/01 according to the plans of the architect Carl Käfer for the client August Ehregott Neumann. In 1940 the veranda on the back of the building was raised.

The listed two-story rental villa appears to be on a corner plot of land facing Hölderlinstrasse. Although the undeveloped corner belongs to the property of the neighboring Villa Hölderlinstrasse 9 , the rental villa in Schildenstrasse is a corner house, emphasized at the intersection by the corner oriel protruding from the upper and the attic storey with raised turret, curved hood, spherical tip and wind indicator. The roof tower and the adjoining roof houses on both sides are decorated with ornamental frameworks. The roof and the hood are covered with roof tiles.

The building standing on a rubble stone base is plastered, the windows on both floors are framed by ornate sandstone walls. The wide window axis towards the corner bay window is designed as a wide segmental arched window on the ground floor, and as twin windows on the upper floor and in the roof house. In each case there are rectangular windows, to Schildenstrasse in one axis, to Hölderlinstrasse in two window axes.

In the street view towards Schildenstrasse there is a flat stand bay window with an exit on top.

The fence is an iron fence with sandstone pillars, bordered on the left and right in a quarry stone wall, which continues across the street corner to the entrance to the neighboring property.
