Miguel Ángel Ramón Bustos von Joecker (* 1933 in Buenos Aires , † after May 30, 1976 ) was an Argentine journalist and writer.

Life

Bustos was born as the son of José Miguel Angel Bustos and Haydée von Joecker, the first of four children. His mother was of German descent. Among other things, he studied humanities and philosophy at the Universidad de Buenos Aires . During his studies, he repeatedly traveled to his homeland, Bolivia , Brazil and Peru . His impressions were reflected in his literary work.

Bustos was a member of the Partido Revolucionario de los Trabajadores (PRT). As a journalist, he wrote for magazines such as “Panorama” and “Siete Días”, but also for large daily newspapers such as “ La Opinión ” and “ El Cronista Comercial ”.

When the junta, led by General Jorge Rafael Videla, came to power in 1976, the so-called process of national reorganization soon began . Bustos was arrested on the evening of May 30, 1976 and was probably one of the first victims to be disappeared by the regime .

Bustos was married to Iris Enriqueta Alba de Bustos and had a son with her, Emiliano (* 1972).

As a writer, Bustos was very close to surrealism , but also to fantastic literature . Bustos made his literary debut successfully with a few poems. By his own admission, contemporary French literature was very important for Bustos and he saw Albert Camus as a great role model.
