Miguel Ángel López Velasco ( 1955 or 1956 in Mexico ; † June 20, 2011 in Veracruz , Mexico) was a Mexican journalist .

Act

López Velasco, who wrote under the pseudonym "Milo Vela", was a columnist and deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper Notiver . In his column he wrote mostly about politics and crime, criticizing drug cartels and government agencies alike. On June 20, 2011, an armed force attacked the 55-year-old journalist at his home in Veracruz. López Velasco and his wife, 21-year-old son and a press photographer were killed in the attack.
