Miguel Ángel Rodríguez (athlete)
Miguel Ángel Rodríguez Gallegos (born January 5, 1967 in Chihuahua ) is a Mexican walker .
His most significant achievement was winning the bronze medal in 50 km walking at the World Athletics Championships in Athens in 1997 . He reached the finish in 3:48:30 h behind Robert Korzeniowski (3:44:46 h) and Jesús Ángel García (3:44:59 h). At the previous World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg Rodríguez had finished fourth.
He took part in the Olympic Games four times between 1992 and 2004 . His best placings in the 50-kilometer distance were seventh at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney and eighth at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona. He also won two silver medals at the Pan American Games (1991 and 1995).
Miguel Ángel Rodríguez is 1.73 m tall and had a competition weight of 62 kg.
