Miguel Porteous (born May 14, 1999 in Hamilton ) is a New Zealand freestyle skier . He starts in the halfpipe discipline .

Career

Porteous started the World Cup for the first time in Copper Mountain in December 2014 and finished in 30th place. At the Junior World Championships 2015 in Chiesa in Valmalenco , he achieved 18th place in slopestyle and 12th place in halfpipe. In the 2015/16 season he won the US Revolution Tour in Seven Springs and took third place at the Aspen Snowmass Freeski Open. At the X-Games Oslo 2016 he came in 11th place. At the end of January 2017, he won the silver medal on the superpipe at the Winter X Games 2017 in Aspen . At the World Championships in 2017 in the Sierra Nevada , he finished 11th Place and in the Winter Olympics in 2018 in Pyeongchang the 17th Place.
