Mihailo Jovanović

Mihailo Jovanović (born July 31, 1855 in Kragujevac , † 1944 ) was a Yugoslav lawyer . He served as Justice Minister of the Kingdom of Serbia between 1903 and 1905 and served as an assistant judge at the Permanent International Court of Justice from 1922 to 1930 .

Life

Mihailo Jovanović was born in Kragujevac in 1855 and, after attending school in Belgrade , studied law at the University of Belgrade , which he graduated in 1875. He later worked as a judge and temporarily as President of the Court of Appeal in Belgrade. He also worked for the Ministry of Justice and held the post of Justice Minister in the Kingdom of Serbia from 1903 and from 1904 to 1905 . In 1907 he was appointed a member of the Council of State and in 1908 President of the Court of Cassation. From 1922 to 1930 he worked as an assistant judge at the Permanent International Court of Justice in The Hague . He died in 1944.
