Mikael Bostrom

Mikael Bengt Erik Boström (born October 3, 1970 in Siuntio ) is a former Finnish orienteer .

Boström took part in the first junior world championships in orienteering in Sweden in 1990 and won the titles in the individual run and with the relay. In 1992 he won the Tiomila in the season of the Swedish club IFK Södertälje . He finished the 1996 World Cup season in fourth place and in 1997 he won the long distance title at the Nordic Championships. In 1997 and 1999 he started at the World Championships in Grimstad and Inverness and came in all three individual starts in the top ten. With the Finnish relay he won silver, 1997 with Timo Karppinen , Juha Peltola and Janne Salmi , in 1999 with Jani Lakanen , Peltola and Salmi. In 2004 and 2005 he belonged to the jukola of the victorious season of Kalevan Rasti .

He is married to the former orienteer Kirsi Boström . The orienteer and athlete Mårten Boström is his brother.
