Career

Magnusson began his career in the offspring of the Swedish club Huddinge IK . From 1990 he was in the squad of the professional team who played in the then second-highest division, Division 1 (now HockeyAllsvenskan ). After two seasons at Huddinge IK, in which he was used in 37 games and scored eleven points scorer , he joined the Swedish first division club Djurgårdens IF . There he was therefore under contract for eleven years and was able to win the Swedish championship twice with his team during this time .

In the summer of 2003 he decided against another contract extension and instead switched to the German Ice Hockey League with the Frankfurt Lions, with whom he won the German championship in the 2003/04 season after a 3-1 final victory after games against the Eisbären Berlin . Magnusson, who played two games in the European Champions Cup the following season , ended his active ice hockey career after the 2004/05 season at the age of 32.

International

Magnusson wore the jersey for the Swedish junior team in 13 international matches and in seven games for the Swedish senior team. In these 20 missions he was able to achieve five scorer points. In 2000 he took part with the Swedes in the World Cup in Russia , where he and his team finished seventh.
