Mike Prpich (born March 27, 1982 in Kenaston , Saskatchewan ) is a Canadian - Croatian ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Newcastle Vipers in the British Elite Ice Hockey League since 2010 .
Career

Mike Prpich began his career as a hockey player with the Penticton Panthers, for which he was active from 2000 to 2002 in the Canadian junior league British Columbia Hockey League , of which he was named most valuable player in 2002. After playing for the University of North Dakota team from 2002 to 2006 , with whom he won the 2006 Western Collegiate Hockey Association Championship, the attacker made his professional ice hockey debut towards the end of the 2005/06 season when he played in prepared a goal for two games for the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League . The following season he moved to the New Mexico Scorpions in the Central Hockey League , before he was on the ice from 2007 to 2009 for the Cardiff Devils in the Elite Ice Hockey League in the United Kingdom .
For the 2009/10 season , the Canadian received a contract with KHL Medveščak Zagreb , which was included in the Austrian ice hockey league before the season . For the Croatian capital club, he scored seven goals and two assists in a total of 58 games. He then returned to the Elite Ice Hockey League, where he stood on the ice as assistant captain in the 2010/11 season.
