Milan Augustin

Milan Augustin (born July 11, 1960 in Karlsbad , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech archivist and historian . He has been the director of the Karlovy Vary District Archives since 1999.

After attending school, Milan Augustin worked as a documentary writer at Loket Castle and as an educator in Horní Slavkov . He then studied history at Charles University in Prague . After completing his master's degree in 1987, he became an archivist at the State District Archives in Karlovy Vary and became its director in 1999.

Milan August deals intensively with the history of Bohemia , in particular the German-Czech relationship in the Karlovy Vary region and the surrounding area as well as the mining history of the Ore Mountains . He has been the editor of the Historický Sborník Karlovarska series since 1993 .
