Milan Kymlička

Milan Kymlička (born May 15, 1936 in Louny , Czechoslovakia , † October 9, 2008 in Toronto , Canada ) was a Canadian composer and arranger .

biography

Milan Kymlička studied at the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and later became a student of Emil Hlobil . By 1967, Kymlička had composed music for over 20 film, ballet and theater productions in his home country. With the Prague Spring he emigrated to Canada , where he also became a Canadian citizen in 1974. He quickly found work at the state broadcaster CBC / Radio-Canada and began composing again. His most famous compositions include his work on the television series Babar , Rupert and Feivel der Mauswanderer & seine Freunde .
