Emil Hlobil
Emil Hlobil (born October 11, 1901 in Veselí nad Lužnicí , † January 25, 1987 in Prague ) was a Czech composer and music teacher.
Hlobil studied from 1924 to 1930 with Jaroslav Křička and Josef Suk at the Prague Conservatory , where he taught himself from 1941 to 1958. Then he was a teacher at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague . His numerous students included Jiří Kalach , Milan Kymlička , Zdeněk Šesták , Milan Iglo , Luboš Fišer , Otomar Kvěch , Jan Bůžek , Ivana Loudová , Zuzana Růžičková , Viktor Kalabis and Jindřich Feld .
In addition to three operas and a ballet, Hlobil composed symphonies, instrumental concerts and other orchestral works, chamber music, vocal works, piano and organ pieces.
