Milan Moguš
Milan Moguš (born April 27, 1927 in Senj ; † November 19, 2017 in Zagreb ) was a Croatian linguist and linguist . He is the author of six dictionaries and 270 scientific works.
Life
Milan Moguš attended elementary school and high school in his native Senj. He graduated in Croatian language and literature from the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Zagreb . Moguš worked as a lecturer at the University of Warsaw from 1961 to 1963 . He received his PhD in Philology in Zagreb in 1962 and became a professor at the Philosophical Faculty in Zagreb in 1969, where he was Vice Dean for two years.
Moguš taught as a visiting professor at the University of Cologne and the University of Mannheim . He was a member of the Central European Academy of Science and Art (1997–2017), the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (2003–2010) and President of the Croatian Commission for UNESCO (1998–2002).
