Milan Nápravník
Milan Nápravník (born May 28, 1931 in Německý Brod , Czechoslovakia ; † October 27, 2017 in Cologne ) was a Czech lyric poet , playwright, radio play writer , essayist, painter, photographer, assemblage and inverse artist.
Life
He studied at the Prague Film Academy and did editorial work on Czechoslovak television . There he helped found the Večerníček , an evening television format for children that is still popular today.
In the mid-1950s to mid-1960s he emerged as a member of the illegal Prague Surrealist group. After the violent termination of the Prague Spring in August 1968, he left Czechoslovakia in the same month and lived in Cologne since 1970 after staying in Berlin and Paris. From here he continued to participate in surrealist activities, including as co-organizer of the exhibition "Imagination" together with the publicist Heribert Becker in 1978 at the Museum Bochum .
Milan Nápravník published in Germany, France and finally again in the Czech Republic . In 1997 he received the Woldemar Winkler Art Prize. Nápravník recently lived alternately in Cologne and Prague.
