Milena Đukić-Lučić (born July 1, 1960 in Gračanica , SFR Yugoslavia as Milena Djukić ) is a former Yugoslav basketball player .

Life

Đukić-Lučić has a son and has lived with the family in Stuttgart since 1991.

Career

Đukić-Lučić started playing basketball in Jedinstvo Aida, Tuzla , in 1977 and played most of her club career for KK Jedinstvo. With the club, she won the Yugoslav championship title in the 1987/1988 season and the Yugoslav Cup in 1987. In 1991 she ended her basketball career. She studied medicine until 1989 and works as a specialist in occupational medicine and sports medicine in Stuttgart . On May 4, 2015, she defended her doctoral thesis at the Medical Faculty of the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen with Monika A. Rieger and Andreas M. Nieß. The title of her doctoral thesis was “Movement on Prescription? Importance of physical activity in the prevention of musculoskeletal and mental health disorders in the professional environment - A systematic literature review ".
