Miles is the name of a German band from Würzburg . It has existed since 1992.
history
Tobias Kuhn and Gilbert Hartsch founded the band in 1992 in the schoolyard. After a few months, Andreas Wecklein (Ronny Rock) joined as drummer and René Hartmann as bassist, who was replaced by Nina Kränsel in 2001.
Their debut album Baboon was released in 1994 on the band's own label Spool Records. The following albums The Day I Vanished (1998) and Miles (2000) were released on the V2 Records label . After differences with V2 Records, the band's fourth album, Don't Let the Cold In , was released in 2003 on the Berlin label Noisolution .
In 2003 the singer Tobias Kuhn released an EP as part of a solo project under the name Monta and an album in 2004.

Musically, Miles can be classified in the area of indie rock with English-language lyrics. The band itself describes their style as "British-American influenced guitar pop".
