Miles is a city in Runnels County in the US state of Texas in the United States .
geography
The city is located on US Highway 67 and 2872 Farm Road and the Santa Fe Railroad , a little west of the geographic center of Texas and has a total area of 3.5 km 2 without any significant water surface.
history
The place was named after Jonathan Miles , who paid $ 5,000 to the railway company so that the place could be connected to the Ballinger - San Antonio route .
