Milk & Honey ( milk & honey ) is a German pop duo . It was founded in 2006 with the two singers Anne Ross and Manel Filali. The duo became known in late 2006 with their debut single Habibi (je t'aime) .
Career
Almost a year after Ross left the Preluders casting band , the German music producer Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen took on the singer. Together with the Algerian singer Filali, he formed the duo Milk & Honey for the Warner Music record label . In collaboration with producers Bülent Aris and Felix Schönewald, the ethno pop song Habibi ( Liebling ) was created, which combines conventional pop rhythms with oriental melodies.
The duo appeared on the TV channel ProSieben in the casting show Popstars and in the program Das Perfekt Dinner on VOX and reached the top 20 of the German single charts with Habibi . On September 7, 2007, a second single named Didi was released from the debut album Elbi . The accompanying music video was presented on August 17, 2007 on the music channel VIVA in the "NEW" format.

Anne ("Milk") Ross (born March 17, 1985 in Dersum ) grew up in Northern Germany. She entered the entertainment business in the summer of 2003 with the talent show Popstars - Das Duell . In the course of the show, she prevailed against numerous competitors and eventually became a member of the girl group Preluders. With the band's first single, Ross reached number one in the German charts in December 2003. After further great successes failed to materialize and musical work stagnated, she left the group at the end of 2005 as the third of originally five members.
Manel ("Honey") Filali (born December 11, 1981 in Algiers ) comes from Algeria. As a child, she moved with her family to Paris , where she was musically influenced by French-speaking rap . She has been married to professional soccer player Karim Matmour since 2009 .
