Milo Pablo Momm
Milo Pablo Momm (born August 29, 1977 in Aachen ) is a German opera director , dancer and choreographer .
Life
Momm was born in Aachen as the son of the sculptor, painter and mixed media artist Dietmar Momm and an architect. After graduating from the Einhard-Gymnasium , he studied theater, music and literature at the University of Bayreuth , the Free University of Berlin and the University of Paris VIII . During his studies he worked as a dancer, choreographer, teacher and dance researcher in the field of renaissance and baroque dance. Since 2011 he has been working primarily as an opera director, a. a. at the Ekhof-Theater in Gotha, at the Wilhelma-Theater in Stuttgart, at the State Theater Mainz and at the Theater Lübeck . Momm lives in Berlin.
In 2018 he was runner-up in the directing competition of the Nationaltheater Mannheim .
In June 2020, in the midst of the Corona crisis at Theater Lübeck, the music theater piece Alive.Saisonende-20 , which Momm developed as a collective work together with directors Jochen Biganzoli and Tom Reyser and the American choreographer Lillian Stillwell, will be performed live in the theater for 20 viewers and shown on the Internet as an online version.
In addition to his work as an opera director and choreographer, he is also active as a writer and published in various literary magazines. In 2008 he was a finalist in the Open Mike literary competition .
